Barracudas Dominate Coyotes Once Again

Hidalgo, Texas (February 10th, 2019) - The Rio Grande Valley Barracudas have officially concluded their second match of the season vs the El Paso Coyotes and it's nothing more than good news for the team. In their previous match vs the El Paso Coyotes last weekend, the Barracudas dominated the Coyotes heavily with a final score of 11-5. Today, they dominated once again. This time, with an impressive final score of 10-2.

As soon as the timer went off, the RGV Barracudas wasted no time and midfielder, Diego Zuniga, immediately kicked off the first goal of the match within a 30 second time frame. This concluded the first quarter but it did not conclude Zuniga's flow. In the second quarter Zuniga scored another two goals raising up the score board to 3-0 in favor of the Barraucadas. Next to score was Mitchelle Cardenas and Efrain Martinez both raising up the score to 5-0 and thus concluding the second quarter.

Moving into the third quarter, the Barracudas scored once again with a beautiful goal by Gustavo Rosales. By this time the scoreboard read 6-0 and the El Paso Coyotes had to step it up if they wanted to close this goal difference gap. Just in time, Midfielder Alexis Mendoza managed to score the first point for the El Paso Coyotes shortening the gap to 6-1.

In the final quarter, the Barracudas scored an additional four goals, two of which were scored by Zuniga easily making him the star for this match with five goals to his name. The game concluded with a final score of 10-2 after Alex Caceres scored the second goal for the Coyotes.

After the results of this match it is predicted that though this means yet another victory for the Barracudas, this victory does not affect the standings for the Southwest Division. The RGV Barracudas will now be expecting the Dallas Sidekicks next weekend right at home in pursuit of a second victory against them. The RGV Barracudas vs Dallas Sidekicks match is scheduled for Sunday, February 17th at 5:35 PM CST.
